Elder Betty Thompson learned the value of asking a mission partner what they need, instead of assuming she already knew. When she asked Wilson Elementary School what it needed, the answer was books. Setting a goal of donating 720, she received over 5,000 from around the presbytery. In the second year of the program, they provided dictionaries to the students, and the local neighborhood association promised to double any funds raised. [PCUSA]
