Presbyterian Have Their Work Cut Out For Them

Roger Dermondy, Deputy Executive Director for Mission, gave a difficult challenge to the General Assembly Mission Council, and they have accepted. The challenge is to add 1,001 new congregations by 2021 - over 100 new congregations each year. Many have pledged to add numbers of congregations: second generation Koreans, the Fellowship, and the Covenant Network have all been engaged as a part of this push. Also, we can expect this goal to be a big push at this weekend's Big Tent conference in Indianapolis. [PCUSA]
