With 86 affirmative votes, the New Form of Government is only one vote away from reaching the required 87 needed to pass. Both The Layman and Reclaim Biblical Teaching put the count at 85 and San Juan has just cast the 86th affirmative vote. No word yet on where and when the next vote will come. The remaining major amendment, the Belhar Confession, has reached the required number of "no" votes (58) need to defeat the amendment, with Palo Duro presbytery casting the deciding vote on Saturday.
