Atlanta's Central Presbyterian Church participates in an outreach ministry called the Central Outreach and Advocacy Center, which has given birth to a creative new ministry. Ties that Matter employs low-income women to make bags as well as pillows, blankets, handbags, and hats out of old ties that are often donated by people around the region. This for-profit venture now helps to fund other outreach opportunities. [PCUSA]
