New Jersey Church Closes Doors After Death of Pastor

Bethany Presbyterian Church of Chambersburg, New Jersey will close its doors after just over 125 years. The congregation dwindled from its peak of almost 1500 worshipers to a congregation of just over a dozen. When Rev. Alice Bijjani died in November, much of the church's administrative tasks were left without people to accomplish them.
