First Presbyterian Church held its sixth annual Teens With a Mission (TWAM) 5K last Friday night. This event drew over 200 runners and raised funds for a mission trip to San Jose, Costa Rica. The church came out to make sure that the event ran smoothly, and were aided by the local police department in directing traffic. This is, of course, part of a larger trend of Presbyterian churches hosting runs and other athletic events. [Salisbury Post]
