In one of the stranger church struggles for this denomination, Albemarle Road Presbyterian Church now faces fines for improperly pruning their trees: $100 per branch, for a total of $4,000. The ordinance affects only public property, and was put into place to prevent trees from growing improperly and causing problems. The fine will be lifted if the trees are replaced.
