Hosted by the PC(USA), the World Communion of Reformed Churches met this week in Fort Myers, Florida to discuss global justice. This first meeting concerning justice since the founding of the WCRC last year attempted to seek direction for the WCRC's global justice policies. They began by addressing an issue dear to the hearts of many Presbyterians, the Immokalee workers. The WCRC group met with tomato pickers to see the issues of fair wages firsthand. After hearing many speakers and discussing multitudes of issues, the meeting closed with a worship that included passing around a bowl of tomatoes with the question, "What can you do to bring about change to unjust situations?"
