Appeal of Rev. Spahr to be Heard This Week

Convicted of performing 16 same-sex marriages and not abiding by the polity of the PC(USA), Rev. Jane Spahr will appeal to overturn the ruling of Redwood Presbytery's Permanent Judicial Commission. The Synod of the General Pacific's Permanent Judicial Commission will hear the case on Thurday. This is Spahr's second time before the PJC on similar charges; last time the Presbytery PJC acquitted her and the Synod PJC convicted her of performing same-sex weddings and instructed the presbytery to rebuke her.
