Mississippi Presbytery has wrote a letter to the Board of Pensions in Mid-February, asking them to create a "relief of conscience" fund similar to the one set up for an abortion benefit in the current health care plan. The presbytery's suggestion would allow dissenting churches to opt out of funding benefits for same-sex partners. The move comes as yes votes outpace no votes on amendment 10-A. [The Layman]
